Naneko of Undercity - Final

Final version of the colors. There are probably a million little things to fix, but I'm going to leave them alone. It's time to begin another project. I hope you like this one!

Initial colors done in photoshop with detailing and color adjustments still to come.

Tweaked the inks on the hair tails as I though the ones in the previous version were a bit thin in comparison to the rest of the hair. This version makes me happier.

Final pencil drawing of Naneko. Finally got the right hand to look right (at least to me...) and added more hair for drama.

I am nearly finished with the pencil phase - that stupid left hand is driving me crazy. I've re-drawn the thing half a million times already. I just need to grab a reference. Let this serve as a reminder to me to just do that right off instead of trying to do it from my head....

Naneko Draft

Work in progress of the Foresaken Mage Naneko from World of Warcraft. Armor and trinkets and what-not are coming along. I want to really spend some time detailing the armor and accessories.

This is from my sketchbook. I wanted to try playing around with open ended phrases and leave the meaning up to the viewer to interpret. This was my first attempt and I have a few others planned. It was fun to experiment with the acrylic mediums and see how the fluid paint reacted.
